Rollin' Like Sisyphus

On Dickens Being Only Half-Right

Posted in My Erstwhile Foe by Huckleberry on July 21, 2011

Tee Party. Plus, I do realize that wordplay is so lame I'm the only one to have used it.

The worst of times, certainly.
In sum, my erstwhile foe, Barack “my best things are in hock” Obama, is insisting on a deal with the debt limit that raises the limit, raises taxes, and cuts little to no meaningful spending. The G-Shock “Opposition” party seems to be wavering for a deal that raises the debt limit, raises taxes, and cuts little to no meaningful spending. The difference between them is one of degree, not of kind, as both sides of the table regard the debt limit increase as a foregone conclusion, when keeping it static is the only meaningful tactic for dealing with the calamity looming before us.
But yes, please, lets dither on the useless exigencies while the heart of the matter continues to bleed out.
I’m not worried though.
This will resolve itself one way or another, the easy (easier, anyway) way or the hard way.
Hard way it is.
