Rollin' Like Sisyphus

We can't all be super heroes. Plus, like gambling, I only need to come up 7s once.

I am many things, but visionary is not one of them.
A quick sample of quotes will illustrate this:

Nintendo? That’ll never take off. People want computer games. Tandy is where its at. — 1986

The Chargers will win the Super Bowl — 1995

Cellphones won’t move with the average person. No one wants to look like a drug dealer. — 1996

Digital photography is too slow and the pictures look like crap. Film won’t go anywhere. — 1999

No way the GOP nominates George W. Bush. No Way. — 2000

XBox? Nobody plays computer games anymore. What a stupid idea. — 2001

Nobody wants a device called an “iPod.” Digital files are convenient, but people like going to record stores. — 2001

Netflix? You can’t watch movies streamed through the Internet, the quality is shit. That’ll never go anywhere. — 2004

There’s no way the Dems will nominate Kerry. Not a chance — 2004

The Chargers will win the Super Bowl — 2004

Gold hit its peak. Its a good time to sell. — 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011

The Chargers will win the Super Bowl — 2006

Nobody wants a device called an “iPhone.” There are better smartphones on the market, and people just want to make a damn call with their cell. — 2007

No way Hillary doesn’t get the nomination. Obama? Please. — 2008

McCain is toast. “McAmensty” is hanging around his neck like an albatross. No way he gets the GOP bid. — 2008

The Chargers will win the Super Bowl — 2009

Nobody wants a device called an “iPad.” Its like a laptop with the keyboard missing. It won’t be popular. — 2010

It’s almost as if a pattern is there, but I can’t quite pick up on it…

Oh, never mind all that. History doesn’t represent future risks or potential, or something like that.

By the way, if you had a bit of gold and a bit of savings, would you buy or sell gold, friend?

Please make sure to post your prognostications. They do seem to have a certain reliability… =D
