Rollin' Like Sisyphus

In The Time Of Fools

May as well.

May as well.

So we say it’s April Fool’s Day, as if it’s ever even one single day, rather than day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year where every facet of mainstream existence exists beyond the bubble of decency and good taste, where every single thing anymore is navigating all of the jokes desperately seeking their punchlines.
A quick scan of the headlines and I can’t tell the gags from the faithful renderings of our sick, demented times.
Can you?
Wouldn’t believe it if you said yes.
The stark truth that underlies the surface of the civic order is that everything is a gag, a deception, because if you can be made to question your five senses at every turn, they’ve won the better part of it.
It’s not necessary for you to believe the lie, merely that you doubt the truth just long enough for them to make their getaway.

April 1st is actually my least favorite day of the year. Because yeah, it’s just the one day when everyone pretends they’re not retarded every other day, too.
