Rollin' Like Sisyphus

Good Music Friday

Posted in Good Music Friday by Huckleberry on May 1, 2015

Not gonna do it.
Not gonna kick this off like I always do.
It’s Day 5 on the Weekly Calendar; that’s as much as you get out of me today.
What a fucking week, now mercifully concluded.
Is Baltimore still on fire?
Yes? No?
I can’t really tell beyond all the posturing and puffery about Privileged This and Injustice That and how a town run almost entirely by Blacks is proof positive of hegemonic White Racism and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on…
Also, I heard something funny – Baltimore police apparently are saying that the Mayor told them to stand down and let the city burn, which jives with her other comments perfectly, and one of the quotes was about how shocked he (the officer) was that the police just had to stand and watch it burn, and get pelted with thrown objects, and it was so horrible because it was so unprecedented. He’d never heard of such a thing before, he said.
Every single incident of civil unrest in the United States since I’ve been alive has been handled EXACTLY that way, to the letter.
If you think there aren’t a number of revolutionaries and counter-revolutionaries in the crowd taking notes, you’re fooling yourself.
For once, I have absolutely no idea what this weekend will bring, none, and I can hardly wait.
Have a good one and get ‘em in.
