Huckleberry Attends A Cultural Celebration

Posted in This Is Not A Culture by Huckleberry on July 10, 2015

I’m not going to tell you which culture was under celebration, but I’ll give you a few clues and you tell me if you can divine the culture being celebrated.

    1. Drums
    2. Dancers
    3. Bright technicolor clothing
    4. Weird flavorless bread
    5. Circular stage

Can you guess?
Well, if you can, your a damn superstar, because this is, basically, how every culture is celebrated on FJKSDFJKDNVs Appreciation Day in every city in the United States.
I don’t know whether that says more about the supposed cultures being revered or if, as I deeply suspect, there just isn’t much to this damn cultural lunacy in the first place.
Who am I kidding?
I know.

Then it shouldn’t be difficult to just say they are, or aren’t, celebrating this or that, right? Further, to be honest? If it’s Veterans’ Day, or Mothers’ Day, or Fathers’ Day, and I see a quarter or more of the parade is gay men in thongs? You know what? It’s not. It becomes all gay day. Go ahead, take that “dude” gyrating in your face if you like. Believe them when they tell you it’s not about that. If you can’t believe your own eyes, what can you believe? More so in the case where they don’t even bother to deny.
