Rollin' Like Sisyphus

Good Music Friday

Posted in Good Music Friday by Huckleberry on December 18, 2015

If you listen carefully, if the ambient noise settles just right to allow it, you can actually hear the pillars of civilization crumble to dust, one grain at a time, a slow trickle bit by bit until that fateful moment when the whole thing gives way, and that’s that, an existence amid the rubble, but since it’s the holidays I’ll leave it at that.
Let’s get fucking ready to celebrate.
And I have to be honest, I’M FEELING IT this year, motherfucker, and I’m going to enjoy every moment of it, squeeze the motherfucking juice out of every second of it, because even if it isn’t the last, it may well feel that way when all is said and done.
It’s been a Hell of a week. Cold, well, California cold – a brisk 66 degrees for the high today – and that has me feeling downright yule-tidey. I was even able to wear a sweater. A motherfucking sweater.
Oh, and let’s not forget the egg nog the wife made with the last bit of the Maker’s Mark.
I’m feelin’ fine.
Our Simple Affirmative Action President is currently in town, comforting the afflicted of last month’s jihad spree with a series of several well-lit photo ops, where I’m sure at least one feisty relative will pipe up about gun control, to which Our Simple Affirmative Action President will sigh heavily, then wearily respond that he’s sick and tired of being sick and tired, common sense restrictions blah blah blah, then off to hit the back nine at Pebble Beach on the way to his five weeks of vacation in his, ahem, home state.
It’s worth noting how many people are noticing how angry the general mood is as we head toward Christmas. Almost as if the constant churlish race-baitingly divisive agitation is making an impact. This is especially true for those who don’t know the stakes and are much more surprised by the recent turn of events than you or I, because all they see is everything that makes sense under assault from petulant women suffering the vapors, and when I say women I mean the men too, because everyone’s going guano and either going all in or cashing out as the day of the fence-sitters is quickly coming to a much-deserved end. The reason it seems that polarization is so prevelant these days is not because the two sides are so much farther apart than they’ve ever been, it’s actually the opposite. There’s a whole lot less middle ground between them.
So it’s about 10:45AM. Too early for some of that egg nog?
Nope.
Have a bitchin’ weekend and get ‘em in, Holiday Style.

Might be the best GMF evar, right there.

I think that’s the studio version from “Christmas Eve and Other Stories”, not a live version with Metallica.

      But one can dream, yes?

Well, it’s all relative, or so I’ve been told.
