Rollin' Like Sisyphus

Good Music Friday

Posted in Good Music Friday by Huckleberry on May 5, 2017

You know what day it is.
I know what day it is.
Not a soul among us doesn’t know what day it is, what day it always is, what day it is always destined to be.
It’s time to face facts, ladies and gentlemen. We’re in a Friday-shaped rut called LIFE and for all the possible headings among the 9 dimensions, there is only one direction out of here.
Long story short, I’m getting fucking obliterated tonight, because that’s still my right as an American clinging to the mortal coil by his fingernails.
What a goddamn week.
I can’t shake the feeling that something’s afoot. I can’t see them, but I can hear fighter jets in the skies around here all the time for the past week or so. You know what an F-16 sounds like. Combined with military officials falling all over themselves to downplay the fact that US fighters intercepted Russian bombers under fighter escort off the coast of Alaska. The “nothing to see here, move along” line from “top military officials” means almost precisely the opposite. Coupled with the weird Russian cargo planes that have been regularly coming into and out of SFO and LAX for the past few days, and the weird dreams I’ve been having of nukes over Los Angeles, it’s getting to be about that time, folks.
Probably nothing.
Could be something.
Would kill for just one good night’s sleep anymore at any rate.
Cutting it short again. Too many plates balancing on durndles mid-spin.
Have a great weekend and get ‘em in, friends.

Slept 9 hours almost unmolested with only dreams of my prom date and her little brother, who is now 6′ 5″, to trouble me.

Due to the new diet, tonight’s rum is Casillero del Diablo cabernet, one of my favorite Chileans. As the old saying goes, If I had some rum I could have a rum and Coke if I had some Coke. And no Coke for the guy trying to avoid taking medicine for hypertension.

Lost 10 lbs and blood pressure is almost down to human range. Rum is a small thing to sacrifice for that, I guess. Drink on.
