Good Music Friday
Good Lord.
Didn’t we just do this thing?
Middle of March already, and headin’ way out past the tall grass in record time.
Anyway.
Weekend’s here, I’m helping my mother-in-law find a 1962 Corvette for the father-in-law’s retirement gift, and we’ve got conference tournament basketball, conference tournament hockey, beers, bourbon and ‘cue all lined up.
For accompaniment, here’s Earl Scruggs and 41 other people playing banjos.
Get ’em in.
It’ll be Monday before you know it.
“I’d like to talk about politics, but first a little Foggy Mountain Breakdown.”
2 finals thoughts/questions, since that song has been in my head since Friday…
Is the penultimate picker Mac Davis?
Is Foggy Mountain Breakdown to banjo players what The Aristocrats is to standup comedians?
1) As a matter of fact, yes I think that is.
2) Of course. Much in the same way that the Ilk is so well versed in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
